Judy Catambay
I am a teaching artist for 25+ years, and I have a BFA in Fine Arts. I craft my projects starting with a brief introduction of an artist: local, BIPOC, street art, contemporary and classics. This is a simple jumping point to inspire them to explore their own creative voice and various mediums. I can also use themes (nature, sea life, animals, etc.) to inspire a particular project. I offer projects in all mediums: painting, collage, drawing, and ceramics. I am always proud and excited to see their artwork develop! See a video of my Student Samples or view my Digital Portfolio. We have a fantastic marimba artist from Japan, Mayumi Hama, in residence at Davis this February/early March. If there are any school sites interested in hosting an event either the last week of February or first few days of March, I’d be very happy to bring out Mayumi and the students.
